Dark Spring Press is thrilled to have collaborated with artist and musician Beau Devereaux on Filling Our Hearts with Clouds, a complex and sensuous project crossing artistic disciplines and bringing together the visual and the acoustic in book and cassette tape format.
Filling Our Hearts with Clouds is Devereaux’s eagerly anticipated debut photography book and his first project to combine images with sound. Inspired by the expansiveness of the sky and the “language of clouds,” this poetic collection of black and white images and its accompanying cinematic soundtrack is a meditation on the celestial sphere. The sky for Devereaux is an endlessly beautiful metaphor – expressive, figurative, symbolic and universal in its reach.
These emotive, often quiet images are designed to be viewed whilst listening to Devereaux’s soundscapes. A longtime electronic music artist, he has constructed a poignant sonic diary replete with dusty ghost ballads, overripe production, crumbling tape loops, and a sun-fried palette of melody.
